Garrett is a fifth-year student in the Architectural Engineering program at Penn State University. He will complete a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering in the Lighting/Electrical option, with a technical Theatre Minor.

 

After his third year, he went to work in the lighting design office of Birkenstock Lighting Design in San Francisco. Following his fourth year he went to intern in the lighting design office at Exp in Orlando, Florida, working on many hospitality and entertainment projects. At these internships he gained valuable software knowledge as well as an understanding of the lighting design process and the collaborative nature of the building industry.

Garrett is currently involved in numerous clubs and organizations, such as the Theme Park Engineering Group. He spends much of his free time at local theme parks or doing design work.
